P1 – P6 Enrichment

Chinese That Connects

Most children find Chinese hard not because they lack the ability — but because they've never had a safe, structured space to practise speaking, writing, and understanding it. We build that space.

Singapore's bilingual advantage only works if Chinese is actually usable

Chinese is not just an exam subject — it's a language that opens doors in Singapore's bilingual society, in family conversations, and in a regional economy where Mandarin is increasingly valuable. But many children are caught in a gap: English-dominant at home, expected to perform in Chinese at school.

Our Chinese enrichment programme closes that gap. We build oral confidence so children speak without freezing, composition skills so they write with ideas and not just vocabulary lists, and comprehension strategies so they read with understanding — not guesswork.

Bilingual Learning Environment
Chinese taught in a way that works for Singapore children

Our classes are designed for children growing up in English-dominant homes. Tutors bridge both languages — explaining concepts clearly, using familiar contexts, and building Chinese confidence gradually. We never make children feel behind. We start from where they are and move forward.

A structured 4-stage pathway to Chinese fluency

Every child starts with a diagnostic. From there, we follow a clear progression — oral first, then composition, then comprehension — so skills build on each other.

1
Diagnostic Assessment
Free entry assessment identifies your child's exact oral, writing, and comprehension level. We place every child correctly — no one starts too high or too low.
2
Oral Practice
Children develop spoken confidence through guided conversation, picture description practice, and structured stimulus-based response techniques aligned to MOE exam formats.
3
Composition Skills
We build a strong vocabulary bank, sentence variation, and narrative structure. Children learn to write compositions with substance — ideas, not just correct grammar.
4
Comprehension Strategies
Children master inference, contextual reading, and close analysis of Chinese texts — the skills that separate a Band 1 result from the rest.

Built for Singapore parents who want real Chinese progress

🎯
Diagnostic Entry — Every Time
We never assume where your child is. Every student starts with an assessment so we place them at exactly the right level and avoid wasted time.
👥
Max 12 Students Per Class
Small groups mean every child gets to speak. Oral practice only works if every student actually participates — not watches from the back row.
🏫
Experienced Chinese Tutors
Our tutors understand both the MOE Chinese curriculum and the reality of English-dominant children learning Chinese — and teach accordingly.
📋
Regular Progress Updates
Parents receive updates after each stage assessment. You always know where your child stands in oral, composition, and comprehension — and what's next.

Questions parents ask us

Our Chinese enrichment programme covers Primary 1 to Primary 6 (ages 6–12). We start with a free diagnostic to place your child correctly. Some students may be placed in a group lower than their school grade if there are foundational gaps — that's intentional, not a setback.
Yes — oral practice is one of our three core pillars. We focus on building real spoken confidence through guided conversation, picture description, and stimulus-based response techniques. Children practise in small groups so they actually speak every lesson, not just listen.
Our Chinese enrichment classes are priced in the $260–$300 per month range (4 sessions of 60 minutes each), depending on level. Contact us for the current fee schedule and available slots at your preferred centre.
Every class is capped at a maximum of 12 students. For Chinese enrichment — especially oral practice — small class sizes aren't optional. Every child needs to actually speak, get feedback, and try again. That doesn't happen in a class of 25.
No. P5 and P6 are exactly when structured enrichment makes the biggest difference before PSLE. Our diagnostic will identify the highest-impact areas to focus on — whether that's oral technique, composition structure, or comprehension strategies — and we'll build from there.
Yes. Our programme reinforces the MOE Chinese Language curriculum — oral communication formats, composition types, and comprehension question styles match what's tested in school examinations and PSLE. We don't teach to a different standard.
Yes. The Chinese enrichment programme runs at all four centres — Kovan, Bugis, Bedok, and Choa Chu Kang. The curriculum, materials, and teaching approach are consistent across all locations. Choose whichever is most convenient for your family.
