Why Phonics Matters

Most phonics programmes teach one thing at a time. Ours integrates three: Phonics + Reading + Spelling in every lesson. Children learn letter sounds, immediately apply them to reading real words aloud, and practise spelling those same words — all in one session. The result is faster retention and less fragmented learning.

We use a synthetic phonics approach: children start by learning individual letter sounds, then blend those sounds together to decode words — rather than memorising whole words from the start. This builds independent decoding ability, so your child can tackle any new word, not just the ones they've seen before.

How many students are in each class?

We cap every phonics class at a maximum of 12 students. This ensures each child receives individual attention and the tutor can monitor progress, catch errors early, and keep every student engaged.

My child is already in P3 — is it too late to start?

Not at all. Many P3 children benefit from structured phonics consolidation, especially for reading multi-syllabic words and applying spelling rules. Our diagnostic will identify exactly which gaps remain — and we build from there, not from scratch.

What is included in the free diagnostic?

The free phonics diagnostic (approximately 20–30 minutes) assesses your child's phoneme awareness, letter-sound knowledge, blending ability and sight word recognition. Results are shared with parents on the same day so you have a clear picture immediately.
