About Edugate

What is diagnostic-first tuition?

Diagnostic-first tuition means every child completes a structured assessment before their first lesson. This 45-minute session identifies the specific knowledge gaps and misconceptions your child has — not just a grade.

All teaching at Edugate is then targeted to those gaps, rather than following a generic syllabus from the beginning. Students typically see measurable improvement within two school terms because teaching is personalised from day one.

How does Edugate assess my child?

The free diagnostic assessment takes approximately 45 minutes and covers MOE-aligned questions for the subjects you are interested in.

After the session, a senior tutor reviews the results with you in person — identifying specific gaps by topic and concept, not just an overall score. You will receive a written report and a recommended learning plan. There is no obligation to enrol.

What makes Edugate different from other tuition centres?

Three key differences:

1. Diagnostic-first. Every child is assessed before lessons begin, so teaching is targeted, not generic.

2. Small groups, max 12 students. Compare to 20–30 at most centres — tutors can identify when a student is stuck and address it in real time.

3. Full primary coverage. English, Maths, Science, Chinese, and Phonics — all under one roof across 4 convenient locations. We also offer AEIS preparation for international students.

Programmes

What subjects do you teach?

Edugate Learning Hub offers tuition for:

Primary English (P1–P6) · Primary Maths (P1–P6) · Primary Science (P3–P6) · Primary Chinese (P1–P6) · Phonics (K2–P3)

All subjects follow the MOE Singapore syllabus and are structured around SA1, SA2, and PSLE examination formats. AEIS preparation is also available for international students.

What is the class size?

Classes at Edugate are capped at a maximum of 12 students. This allows tutors to monitor each child's understanding during the lesson and address gaps as they arise — not weeks later when an assessment reveals the problem.

Most tuition centres in Singapore run classes of 20 to 30 students.

How long are the sessions?

Each lesson is 1.5 hours. Sessions are held on weekday evenings and weekends. Specific timeslots vary by subject, level, and centre.

Contact us via WhatsApp or through the free diagnostic booking form to check availability at your nearest centre.

Do you offer AEIS preparation?

Yes. Edugate offers a dedicated AEIS Preparation programme for international students sitting the Singapore Ministry of Education AEIS exam (for entry into mainstream primary or secondary schools).

The programme covers English and Maths at the required AEIS standard, with mock papers under timed conditions. Book a free diagnostic to discuss your child's current level and readiness.

What age groups do you cater to?

Edugate caters to children from Kindergarten 2 (Phonics programme) through Primary 6 (all core subjects). The PSLE preparation track intensifies from P5 and peaks in P6.

For children sitting the AEIS exam, we cater to both primary and secondary AEIS levels.

Yes. All four Edugate centres follow the same curriculum, teaching methodology, and materials. If you need to attend a different centre temporarily — for example, during school holidays or travel — we can usually accommodate this, subject to class availability.

Contact us on WhatsApp to arrange.

Is there a free trial?

Edugate offers a free diagnostic assessment (worth $70) rather than a free trial lesson. The diagnostic is more valuable: it tells you exactly where your child stands and what they need — so if you do enrol, the first lesson is already targeted, not generic.
